About Regions

Special Olympics Queensland provides regular sports training and competition for people with an intellectual disability in 8, endorsed and affiliated regions throughout the State. There are many opportunities to get involved.

 

Regions are supported at a State level through the Regional Support and Development Officer and their Regional Delegates who are all members of the State Management Committee (SMC). Monthly State Reports to Regions are issued by the Regional Support and Development Officer and disseminated to each region through the Regional Secretary.

 

These reports inform regions of current sporting and other events as well as advise regional executive committees of the latest information about administration, policy and procedural matters.
