Become a Coach

Coaches play a unique and indispensable role in Special Olympics. They provide the sports skills and spirit that define a true athlete. They are role models and character builders. They give Special Olympics athletes the most immediate awareness of their own worth, ability, courage and capacity to grow and improve.

To maintain a high-quality sports program, all Special Olympics coaches need to be accredited. Special Olympics can help with this process.

Sports Officials

Special Olympics also needs volunteer Sports Officials. Sports Officials will need to attend a Special Olympics Orientation Course. Special Olympics will assist volunteers who are interested in accreditation training.
